DDC OS are looking to recruit an experienced proactive HR Advisor / Officer, for their fast paced office in Worksop.
To be the main point of contact for HR Enquiries from both internal & external customers.
Attend ER meetings and take notes, give advice
Day to Day responsibility for first level Employee Relations (Disciplinary, Grievance & Capability) and ensuring that the business is supported to deal with all such cases, in accordance with best practice and internal policy.
Manage the case log activities, Bamboo HR System, Reports and KPI's
Producing contracts and offers - requesting references
Coordinate monthly payroll processes, including absences, SMP, SPP . To ensure all payroll checks are in place and liaise with the outsourcing provider to ensure correct payments are made.
Liaise with all departments to co-ordinate recruitment and training plans in line with required timescales.
Co-ordinate all stages of recruitment and selection processes – telephone-screening, interviewing, role-plays.
Conduct effective New Starter Inductions
To produce a regular activity reports for the Exec meetings.
Equip managers with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their teams in line with their people plans eg. Performance Management, absence management.
Support performance management culture within the business areas as a means of driving business improvement by ensuring clear objectives, feedback and the improvement through behaviours aligned with our values. Manage the collation of appraisals.
Supporting employee’s health & wellbeing with relevant schemes and opportunities
Key Skill Requirements
Hold a Certificate in Personnel Practice or other accredited CIPD Certificate
Effective communication skills, in order to deal tactfully and sensitively with people at all levels
Exercising good judgement / Always seeking win / win situation
Strong ER Skills
Integrity & Trust Working in a busy environment with tasks that require a short turnaround
Ability to work within limited supervision; to make decisions and use own initiative
Ability to demonstrate strong IT skills including Excel and HR Databases
Excellent listening skill
Good organisational and interpersonal skills
Ability to work within tight deadlines and to manage a number of activities at any one time
Ability to reprioritise work with minimum warning
